FINANCIAL REVIEW ($500-$1,500 depending on the complexity)

  • Review of sources of income currently and potentially
  • Review of estate with potential estate tax problems if any
  • Review of liabilities existing and potential  (e.g. disability, long term care, disabled children or grandchildren, etc)
  • Insurance coverage sufficiency
  • Tax planning

FINANCIAL COUNSELING (Hourly Fee or Flat Fee depending on circumstances)

  • Education of whole family concerning financial matters, especially for those not familiar with the many facets of managing investments
  • Facilitating  family meetings to discuss plans, needs, and responsibilities, especially in case of disability of family leaders
  • Continuing updates as circumstances change in the family
  • Review of propriety of investments, currently held or prospective

FINANCIAL PLANNING ($500-$2,500 depending on complexity)

  • Laying out procedures and needed actions to accomplish goals and needed actions that are discovered in the previous meetings.
  • Review of wills and trusts to see they are supportive of the decisions made and goals set.
  • Suggesting alternatives in the accomplishing of the goals determined to be desirable
  • Assisting and counseling with those developing the legal and practical acts necessary to accomplish and fulfill plans
  • Reviewing the effectiveness of the actions taken to accomplish the plans
  • Annual reviews of the status of progress of the plans
  • Continual review of tax planning and application of law changes

INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT (Percentage of assets managed, or flat fee)

  • Designing portfolios of investments to accomplish the goals and plans decided upon in the planning stages
  • Regular review of performance and security of investments
  • Quarterly reviews and written reports of the results of the investments, covering quarterly, year to date, and since the origination of the account
  • Making tax conscious investments and transactions, such as choosing qualified dividends, if they continue to be beneficial, and timing of capital gains

ORGANIZING FINANCIAL RECORDS  (Hourly Fee or Flat Fee depending on circumstances)

  • A specifically designed book that contains a record of all assets owned, with descriptions and identification
  • A list of trusted advisors in case of the sudden disability of the  principal person
  • Record of insurance policies
  • Detail of special arrangements concerning privately owned investments
  • Detail of liabilities, and any specific arrangements concerning their payment
  • Instructions of what to do with pets in case of sudden disability of the owner
  • On site visit(s) as necessary to assist in completing the information necessary to assure usefulness of the book
  • Email reminder system to assist individuals in completing the book in bite-sized pieces

OTHER SERVICES (Hourly Fee or Flat Fee depending on circumstances)

  • Insurance policy reviews
  • Counseling and assistance in the case of procedures needed when a death in the family occurs
  • Counseling and assistance in the appointment of guardians

REFERRALS (No Fee)

  • Referrals for providers for in home as well as residential living assisted living
  • Referrals of attorneys and accountants for needed purposes
  • Referrals of experts in social security, Medicare, and other governmental programs

EDUCATIONAL PRESENTATIONS (No Fee)
